Are non-design majors allowed to join?

Yes! We welcome all majors and schools of thought. We feel feel that diversity benefits everyone.

Can I join NEO Design even if I don’t go to San Jose State University?

Yep. That being said, we do base much of our events/workshops around the BA and BFA Graphic Design programs at SJSU.


I’m not an official NEO Design member, can I still participate in events?

Yes! You can pay at the door of an event. Tip: If you expect to join a few of our events, it’s cheaper to buy a membership. For $15/semester, you get access to all events.

Can I submit event requests?

Absolutely! We’re always looking to implement new ideas and events.

I recently attended an event. Is there some place I can give my feedback on it?

We will be sending feedback forms to everyone who attends an event! Feel free to leave a note on the Facebook event as well. Or you can message us directly:


How can I become an official member of NEO?

You can become an official NEO member at any of our events during the semester.

Why is there a membership fee?

This allows us to pay for events, guest speakers, food/drinks, and web costs.

I don’t want to be a member anymore, can I get a refund on my membership?

Unfortunately we do not provide refunds for membership.
